aaaagggghhhhh! There's a SNAKE on our Blog!

Last Saturday was a big day out and about for our family. One of our activities was a visit to our state's Fish and Game yearly earth day event. We saw Moose with Locked Antlers, played Water Facts Jeopardy (all those Magic School Bus episodes paid off!), went on a treasure hunt, collected lots of fun "loot" (bookmarks, pencils, washoff tattoos, etc..), made nature crafts (note the lobster crown that Julian is sporting), and the finale was the Reptile Show. The owner of this (harmless) snake was so kind to let our guys have a go at holding his (creepy) snake. Can you tell that I am not all that fond of those slithery serpents!?.. However, our dark haired guys do not share the same sentiments.

Maximilian was first to hold Mr. Snake,
who looks like he has his sights on Timothy's hand, but the picture deceives.
In the next picture, he has retreated to the stroller (in the background)
as he did not wish to find out. A boy after my own heart.
This next photo shows the three older boys standing among the wild animals.
Watch out for the bear!

Prior to our visit to the Fish and Game event, we stopped at the Open House at the Miniature Horse Farm. At the farm we had fun petting the horses and even brushing them. We saw a Mommy Mini awaiting the delivery of her foal and went for a walk with one of the miniatures on their training course.

On our way out we enjoyed a cart ride.
Fun, busy days like these are a treat. The children were in dreamland before their heads hit the pillows that evening.

What a perfect day! The photos speak volumes! Kids learn so much and remember everything from a day like that. We are over due for one ourselves.
